Adam’s Testimony

I’m thankful for being given the opportunity to go out and to help other students with their struggles when they first come into the program. And it helps me see where the progress is happening in my life.

Hi, my name is Adam, I’m 32 years old. I grew up on a farm my whole life, I lived there since the age of 31. And I came into this program because I was hooked on heroin. I started using heroin at a young age, I was 16 when I had my first overdose, and I had four sense then that ended me up in the hospital and I had to be restarted with a drug called Narcan. And I’m here at Teen Challenge. I accepted God in my life, He’s helped me through the first couple months here. I’m currently a store captain for this season of my life, I’m able to go with different leaders to different stores and share the word on how God is helping me and helping others here at Teen Challenge.

And I’m just so thankful for that. And I’m thankful for given the opportunity to go out and to help other students with their struggles when they first come into the program. And it helps me see where the progress is happening in my life. After Teen Challenge I plan on possibly working in a drug detox center, to help other people and tell them about Teen Challenge how they changed my life, turn me around, got me back on my feet. And now I’m here to speak the Word of God to them and to help them on their walk and their struggles just like somebody did for me.

The scripture I stand on is Exodus 23:20. “See, I’m sending an Angel before you to protect you on your journey and to lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you. Pay close attention to Him and obey His instructions, do not rebel against Him, for He is my representative, and He will not forgive your rebellion.”

Thank you and God bless.
